US VERSUS THEM

2005-2016  -  Creative Direction / Apparel Design + Development / Art Direction / Merchandising / Retail Strategy / Operations.


Founded and managed innovative streetwear boutique and gallery program based in Southern California. Developed in-house streetwear brand that was distributed worldwide to top tier accounts such as Collette, United Arrows, Goodhood UK, and accumulated over $15M+ in sales over 6 years. Oversaw operations, merchandisng, all apparel design / development, sales, marketing, ecommerce business development. 
From collaborating with the biggest brands in streetwear, to hosting art shows with creatives from Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, Paris, and London, the operation garnered significant press from Complex, Hypebeast, Highsnobiety, and beyond, including being named 1 of 25 top boutiques in the world and listed as one of the top 50 streetwear brands ever.

In 2011, the brand signed an exclusive licensing deal with Stussy Inc. Over the course of 5 years, the brand generated over $18M in revenue. The high quality cut/sew, socially focused graphics and subcultural involvement influenced numerous brands across streetwear and action sports, with a significant number still following the blueprint UVT laid out almost a decade before.  

Over the duration of the license, As of Right Now led all creative aspects of the brand from direction, apparel design / development, retail experiences, and photoshoots.

Contributed seasonally to Stussy's apparel design program from 2012-2015.

The brand produced and curated many large scale art exhibitions, events and installations, such as the Oil and Water show - seen below at Known Gallery on Fairfax - which featured dozens of legacy artists from the surf, skate, street art and custom cultures. Over a 10 year span we exhibited established artists from nearly every continent.
